There is one massive trap you need to know about before you line up at the grid. In past Forza games, you could usually plow right through fences and small trees to save yourself from a bad corner. Not here. Out of cultural respect for the setting, the cherry blossom trees in the Japan map are completely indestructible. If you miss a checkpoint and clip a trunk, you won't break through it—it will stop your car dead in its tracks like a solid concrete wall. Treat them with respect, or your race is over.

The Right Car Setup & Tuning

Because you are dealing with tight, touge-style sprints, unpredictable civilian traffic, and blind corners, raw top speed takes a backseat to phenomenal handling.

• The JDM Kings: If you want to keep it authentic, cars like the 1998 Nissan Silvia K's Aero or a classic, well-tuned Toyota Supra MK4 are perfect for these tight lanes. They have the ideal balance for snappy weight transitions.
• Go with AWD: Consider converting your build to All-Wheel Drive (AWD). The extra traction is a lifesaver when you are digging out of a sharp blossom-lined corner, and it keeps the chassis stable if you accidentally drop a tire off the tarmac.
